About

Marcia Wakeman was born in England in 1956, migrating to Australia in 1961 with her family. She attended Newcastle Teachers College in the latter part of the 1970s and was an Art teacher for 26 years. Happily married, Marcia has three daughters and six grandchildren. She decided to write this story about her Polish father, Ryszard, when he passed away in 2020, aged 93.
